Songwriting Camp with Justin Roberts & Liam Davis

5-Time GRAMMY Nominated Justin Roberts & Liam Davis offer an immersive and fun experience for adolescents that sparks their creativity and helps them express themselves in a unique way.
During the week, Justin & Liam take campers through the basics of Songwriting including storytelling, song structure, chord progression, melody, lyric-writing devices and editing. Songwriters will have a recorded finished song as their final project at the end of the week.
Campers will write songs as a group, in smaller groups, and individually if desired. Days will include breaking down popular songs, group creativity exercises (games), journaling, and free time for practice or socializing.
Musical skill or background is not required, but songwriters are encouraged to bring instruments if they do play one (or several). Campers will also get a glimpse into the world of music recording and record production as they record their own songs and see them become multitrack recordings.

Justin Roberts & Liam Davis have been making music for kids and families for over 25 years. Along the way, five of the albums have garnered Grammy Nominations and ten have received Parents Choice Gold Awards. The USA Today called Justin was “Hands Down the best songwriter in the genre” and the New York Times called him “the Judy Blume of kiddie rock.” Together Justin & Liam have toured the world from Los Angeles’ Getty Museum to Broadway’s New Victory Theater in NYC to Hong Kong and beyond.
Justin & Liam have been teaching songwriting to kids and adults in schools, libraries, and corporations since the early 2000s. This is the third consecutive year of their songwriting camp.
